Best Burgers in Sydney

Wholesome and healthy food is what everyone seems to be after these days. But can kale chips really compare with the greasy, juicy, hearty and heavenly?

If you’re like me and prefer some not-so-heart-healthy food, here are some of the best burgers in Sydney.

The Milk Bar by Cafe Ish, Redfern

This place has got it all! Burgers, super-shakes, and massively loaded donuts. You really can’t go wrong homemade tomato sauce and potato milk buns. Be warned, the burgers are so loaded, it may get a little messy.

For cheese lovers, ‘Mr Cheesey’ with Truffled Mushroom Mac and Cheese on the side, is to die for.

Mary’s, Newtown and CBD

Not as OTT as some other burgers you could find, but Mary’s does them well. Open till midnight (except on Sundays), Mary’s burgers and shakes are great fuel for your night out on the town.

Try the Mary’s Burger with a thick shake to wash it down.

The Whitehouse, UNSW

Better known for their wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli staple, UNSW’s own Whitehouse has been known to whip up good burgers as well. Besides, who doesn’t like the convenience of grabbing food on campus?

Forget smashed avo toast and grab a chicken burger – it comes with beer-battered fries.

About Cheryl Till

Cheryl loves not knowing what to do, including what to write for this bio. She occupies her time with different hobbies, although she isn't entirely sure if reading and watching Netflix for hours on end as a form of procrastination count as hobbies. You can probably find Cheryl in a comfy chair somewhere, pretending to be productive.
