Ten Questions with Tina Phan

Hey everybody! Exams have arrived and they’re stressing the crap out of us! Luckily, I found myself having a good laugh with Tina Phan who delighted me with her answers this week. This time, I asked her what makes her laugh the hardest, her favourite Disney princess and has she been to a fortune teller? Sound intrigued? Keep reading!

Year and Degree: 3rd Year, Bachelor of Economics

  1.  Who’s your favourite Disney Princess?

I was going to say Elsa but I just googled “is elsa a disney princess” and apparently she isn’t so I’m going to say Mulan because I’m into that warrior stuff.

  1. Name five Disney villains.

Cruella de vil, Ursula, Maleficent, The Queen of Hearts and Hades from Hercules. (Did you google those Tina?)

  1. Have you ever been to a fortune teller?

Yes. The last time I went, I was told that I’m going to have 3 boys when I’m older… Other than that, they’re pretty intriguing. My mum was once told by 3 different fortune tellers that I was the most dependable child out of my 3 siblings.

  1. What’s your guilty pleasure?

Listening to way too many ballads. If I’m not watching hip-hop covers on youtube, I’m probably listening to a ballad thinking about life and non-existent bae.

  1. How do you deal with stress?

I listen to music while dancing or playing with my dogs. I don’t know why but I started dabbing to Far East Movement 2 days ago. If nothing else works, I just take a nap.

  1. What makes you laugh the hardest?

The titanic scene from Bruce Almighty! (Love it!)

  1. What is one thing that you are afraid of?

Well I’m going to Nepal soon with a group of 11 people from uni. I’m afraid that something will happen to someone ‘cause I’ll be the one responsible for first aid and CPR. I’ve heard of people’s ribs getting cracked from CPR.

  1. Are you looking forward to your exams?

Yes, no, yes, yes, no. and the final answer is no.

  1. Who has given you the best advice to deal with exam anxiety?

Everyone who has told me to get enough sleep the night before.

  1. Do you have any rituals or weird habits that no one knows about?

If I can’t remember a certain formula, I pretend I’m going to cheat and write it on the lid of my calculator. I always erase it before the exam and that’s just how I remember long formulas.
