Stuck in a rut and need to ride your way out? Then head over to Carriageworks, where you’ll get to wind through the back streets of Chippendale (we hear Reynold’s new dessert bar just opened there), Broadway and into Glebe before cycling back along the Johnstons Creek path. Fear you’ll get lost on the 10 kilometre ride? No need, because whatever your skill level, you’ll be under the wing of experienced guides from BIKESydney as you pass by stunning Sydney views and great local attractions. Now who said you have to be the next Cadel Evans or Anna Meares?

Surf Ryder Wave Simulator

When: Every Day

Where: Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre

Cost: $18.50 per 30 mins (includes standard pool entry)

More info: www.ryde.nsw.gov.au/RALC/SurfRyder

Ever wondered what it feels like to stand up on a surf board, or bodyboard your way through a limitless number of wave shapes and sizes? Well now you can with this brand new wave simulator. You’ll get to escape the fluctuating beach and ocean water temps, with the pool water heated all year round, and you won’t have to find sand in places you’d rather it not be. Now surfing doesn’t have to be a lone wolf’s sport. Watch a mate carve up the six foot wave tube while you bodyboard on two foot baby rollers at the same time. With the allnew Surf Ryder, catching the killer wave has never been easier (and maybe you’ll actually learn some coordination).
